I’m currently four episodes into season eight of Vampire Diaries, and I love the show again.

However that usually happens during the first five or six episodes, before some nonsense happens and nothing makes sense anymore.

I have heard that as a Ric girl, I’m apparently going to suffer this season. Without spoilers, what level of emotional trauma am I looking at?

Like Ric crying in Elena’s arms in the season six finale? A hard eight on the Ric girl pain scale.

Or Ric crying with Florence/Jo to that fucking Birdy song I’d become obsessed with the month prior to the ep? Mid to high seven.

Or tomb Ric’s little half laugh with Damon and The Fray and the invention of a fake dead family member so I could excuse myself to the bathroom to cry at work? Ten. Eleven even. Proper, physically shaking, throwing up, genuinely fucked for a week emotional pain.

I need to know how much alcohol and ice cream I need.
