(Sort of spoilers? This isn’t a mad Dalaric fangirl rage.)

TVD SERIES FINALE SPOILERS. 

CAROLINE FORBES DESERVES BETTER THAN THIS SHIT. 

What has she repeatedly said? She’s always a goddamn second choice, and now her husband has given up everything for his brother, for Elena who she always felt second best to.  

They would rather fuck over Caroline again than accept any relationship is and will ever be more important than Delena. Caroline has been given such a shitty storyline this season, with a complete 180 in her characterisation and now they fuck her again with this. Her relationship with Stefan, her forgiving him for all the shit from this past season over the space of one episode because “it wasn’t you!” when she hated Damon for years, when he could have used the same excuse, was shitting on the strong, intelligent woman she’s grown into, and the pay off was more “lets fucking destroy Caroline” crap. 

And then to make matters worse, the entire thing was Stefan being a selfish piece of shit. I’ve fucking hated Stefan this season, he’s been badly written - though to be fair, 99% of the characters have. He’s just married the woman he claims is the love of his life, and he’s going to give up any moments they have together because “oh I’ve done bad things, and it hurts me, and I shouldn’t be here and oh woe is me”, not giving a fuck about her and what it would do to her. He only decided it was for Elena and Damon about half way through, and even that is fucking shitty. 

Caroline should not have had to ring him and tell him she understood, because she shouldn’t have to have been in a position where she understood his bullshit decision. He got her message. If anyone should have been getting a goddamn message, it was her and he should have tried to explain his selfish fucking choice.

Full disclosure, I’ve never liked Delena, and I’ve never liked Steroline, but I’d accepted them as endgame. However it could have been handled so much better than this fucking shitstorm.
