So, I’ve just spent a week in New York and it was lovely. But you know what the nicest thing was? Not once did someone make a snide remark about my appearance.

In fact, while walking around in my Star Labs hoodie, I got several different people smile at me and shout “damn right you’re a star!”, and strangers telling me they liked different shirts, dresses and jumpers I had on.

As someone who usually can’t walk down the street in the UK without someone pointing and laughing, someone who has been chased around shopping centres while security have looked on laughing, this was so nice.

The world might be going to shit, but there are some good people out there.
